Chad Bucci is now in his seventh season as the head men's and women's golf coach at Ohio Northern.

Bucci is the first full-time golf coach in ONU history and brings significant experience and success to the programs.

Through six seasons, he has guided the men's golf teams to a 210-216-6 record, a .493 win percentage, and the women's golf teams to a 188-195 mark, a .491 win percentage.

He has coached eight All-Ohio Athletic Conference honorees and one GCAA Ping All-Great Lakes Region selection in men's golf and 13 All-Conference athletes in women's golf while at Ohio Northern.

Under his guidance, the women's team posted a 28-17 overall record and ended fourth at the OAC Championships during the 2018-19 season. Meanwhile, the men ended the year at 18-48-1 with a ninth-place effort at the league championship.

Bucci came to Ohio Northern after a three-year stint as the head women's golf coach at Otterbein, where he guided the Cardinals to the 2013 OAC title and was named the OAC Women's Coach of the Year.

"I am honored and humbled to have this opportunity to be at Ohio Northern," Bucci said. "I am very excited to get started and build upon the traditions and success of both programs. Our goals will be to be successful both on the course and in the classroom."

Bucci earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in Physical Education from Malone in 1991, where he was a four-year member of the golf team.

He qualified for the NAIA National Championships in each of his four seasons, winning the NAIA District title as a senior in 1991. He also served as a student assistant coach on the MU basketball team.

Bucci has been a class A-1 member of the PGA for 22 years.

Chad and his wife, Cheryl, have two sons, Sutton and Rocco, and a daughter, Karsten.
