Women's Golf wraps up outstanding fall season with ninth place finish at Berry (Ga.) Chik-Fil-A Invitational

ROME, Ga. - The Ohio Northern women's golf team wrapped up its fall schedule with a ninth place finish at the Berry (Ga.) Chik-Fil-A Invitational Monday and Tuesday.
The Basics
- Ohio Northern finished ninth of 15 teams with a 72-over par 3324-332—656 for 36 holes on the 5708-yard, par-72 course.
- No. 18-ranked Randolph-Macon (N.C.) won the team title with a 602, No. 39 Huntingdon (Ala.) was second with a 632, No. 37 Sewanee (Tenn.) was third with a 638 and York (Pa.) was fourth with a 639.
- The teams played 18 holes each day.
- The Polar Bears were fifth after Day 1 with a 324.
- ONU Season Record: 29-11.

ONU Individuals
- Senior Amelia Burger (Centerville) led the Polar Bears by finishing tied for 19th of 82 golfers with a 15-over par 82-79—161.
- Freshman Taylor Blackburn (Liberty Township/Lakota West) tied for 22nd with an 81-81—162.
- Junior Marisa Alfes (Bellbrook) tied for 29th with an 81-85—166.
- Freshman Ella Baird (Avon Lake/Magnificat) tied for 37th with an 80-87—167.
- Freshman Mallory Meister (Milan/Edison) tied for 51st with an 85-87—172.
Notables
- This was the final of eight tournaments Ohio Northern participated this fall.
- Head coach Chad Bucci is 507-306-2 in his 11th season at the helm of the ONU women's golf team, a winning percentage of .623.
