Senior Amelia Burger named OAC Women's Golfer of the Week

ADA — Senior Amelia Burger (Centerville) was named Co-OAC Women's Golfer Player of the Week for the week of Oct. 8-14.

Burger won Medalist honors in both of Capital's Fall tournaments over the weekend.

On Saturday, Burger led ONU to a victory at the 5-team Capital Fall Classic by finishing first of 31 golfers with a 6-over par 78.

She followed that up with a 7-over par 79 to finish in a three-way tie for first place on Sunday and to lead Ohio Northern to a victory in the four-team Capital Fall Invitational.

This is the first time this season and the third time in her career that Burger has won the award.

The Polar Bears will wrap up their fall season Oct. 28-29 at the Berry (Ga.) Chik-Fil-A Invitational.
