Women's Golf finishes third of eight at Bluffton Fall Invitational

BLUFFTON - The Ohio Northern women's golf team finished third of eight teams at the Bluffton Fall Invitational on Saturday and Sunday.
The Basics
- The teams played 36 holes - 18 on Saturday and Sunday.
- Ohio Northern finished with a 343-341—684 on the par-72, 5670-yard course.
- Mount Saint Joseph won the team title with a 311-311—622, Bluffton was second with a 316-330—646 and Heidelberg was fourth with a 348-343—691.
- ONU Season Record: 16-3.

ONU Individuals
- Junior Marisa Alfes (Bellbrook) and freshman Taylor Blackburn (Liberty Township/Lakota West) led the Polar Bears by finishing tied for ninth out of 52 golfers with 166s.
- Senior Amelia Burger (Centerville) tied for 13th with a 90-81—171.
- Freshman Ella Baird (Avon Lake/Magnificat) carded a 94-88—182 to finish 22nd.
- Playing on the ONU "B" team, freshman Mallory Meister (Milan/Edison) carded an 79-89—168 to finish 11th.
Notables
- The tournament consisted of 18 holes each day Sunday and Monday.
- This is the fourth of seven tournaments this fall for the Polar Bears.
- Head coach Chad Bucci is 494-298-2 in his 11th season at the helm of the ONU women's golf team, a winning percentage of .624.
