Junior Marisa Alfes named Co-OAC Women's Golfer of the week

ADA — Junior Marisa Alfes (Bellbrook) was named Co-OAC Women's Golfer Player of the Week for the week of Sept. 10-16.

Alfes won Medalist honors with a 13-over par 156 to lead the Ohio Northern women's golf team to victory at the John Carroll Donald Ross Invitational Sunday and Monday.

She also finished third out of 97 golfers with a 75-76—151 at the Heidelberg Fall Invitational Friday and Saturday.

Alfes is a two-time All-Conference honoree and has won OAC Player of the Week honors for the first time in her career.

This season, Alfes is averaging a team-best 76.7 strokes per round for six rounds.

She has a 79.6 stroke average over 52 rounds in her career.

Alfes shared the honor with Mount Union's Jocelyn Troyer.
