WEST LAFAYETTE — Ohio Northern grabbed a shot lead heading into Sunday's final round of the 2024 Ohio Athletic Conference Women's Golf Tournament on Saturday.

The Basics

  • The Polar Bears carded a 92-over par 311-320-325—956 to lead the 9-team field after 54 holes of the 72-hole tournament.
  • Otterbein is second one shot back with a 313-321-323—957, Mount Union is third with a 320-323-333—976 and Heidelberg and John Carroll are tied for fourth with 1038s.

  • Sophomore Marisa Alfes (Bellbrook) is seventh with a 77-81-82—240.
  • Junior Rhianna Firmstone (Moon Township, Pa./Moon Area) is tied for 16th with an 82-89-84—255.
  • Fifth-year senior Torrie Smith (Kokomo, Ind./Western) is 19th with an 86-85-87—258.

  • Honigford has been Medalist 21 times in 45 career tournaments. 
  • The top 14 individuals and ties earn All-Conference honors.
  • The tournament consists of 27 holes on Friday, 27 more on Saturday and 18 on Sunday.
  • The tam champion receives the OAC's automatic bid to the NCAA III Championships May 21-24 at Keene Trace Golf Course in Nicholasville, Ky.
