Senior Grace Honigford named OAC Women’s Golfer of the Week

ADA — Ohio Northern senior Grace Honigford (West Chester/Lakota East) was named the Ohio Athletic Conference Women's Golfer of the Week for the week of Sept. 1-5.

This marks Honigford's 11th career OAC Golfer of the Week accolade.

A College Sports Communicators Second Team Academic All-American last season, Honigford opened her senior campaign by earning Medalist honors by a margin of seven strokes with a 2-over par 74 in the 25-woman field at the ONU Kickoff Classic on Sunday.

That marked Honigford's 16th career Medalist honor, as she led the Polar Bears to a first-place finish in the four-team field, 14 strokes ahead of second-place Heidelberg.

The Polar Bears return to action Sept. 16-17 at the Heidelberg Fall Invitational.
