Tournament Preview: The Ohio Northern women's golf team will begin its spring schedule at the Music City Shootout at Nashville National Golf Links in Joelton, Tenn. ... The tournament is hosted by Rose-Hulman (Ind.) and will be 36 holes of stroke play … Saturday's first round will be a shotgun start at 9:30 am … A total of seven teams from Ohio, Indiana and Illinois are expected to compete ... ONU had top-three finishes in all five fall tournaments, inclduing three straight wins, and posted a 42-3 record ... The Polar Bears are coming off a 3rd place finish at the Berry (Ga.) Invitational ... Junior Grace Honigford tied for ninth out of 66 golfers on the 5652-yard, par-72 course with a 9-over par 74-79—153 and led ONU to a record-shattering 621 at the tournament ... ONU carded a 310-311—621, which is 18 shots better than the previous record of 639 set twice in 2021 ... Through nine rounds this fall, Honigford leads the team in scoring with a 78.4 average ... Sophomore Rhianna Firmstone is second with an 81.2, sophomore Amelia Burger is third with an 81.6 and freshman Marisa Alfes is fourth with an 83.1 average.
