ADA — Ohio Northern junior Grace Honigford (West Chester/Lakota East) was named the Ohio Athletic Conference Women's Golf Player of the Week for the week of Oct. 11-17.
This marks Honigford's second straight OAC Player of the Week accolade this season and the eighth of her career.
The latest recognition comes after Honigford earned Medalist honors with an 81-81—162 in the 33-woman field at the Bluffton Beaver Fall Classic on Saturday and Sunday at Bluffton Golf Course.
That marked Honigford's first time earning Medalist honors this season and the 13th time in her career.
Honigford led the Polar Bears to a first-place finish in the five-team tournament, marking their third victory in four events this fall.
Northern shot a 676, defeating second-place Wooster by 19 strokes.
The Polar Bears (33-1 overall) close out their fall schedule at the Berry (Ga.) Classic on Oct. 22-24.
