Rhianna Firmstone named OAC Women’s Golf Player of the Week

ADA — Ohio Northern sophomore Rhianna Firmstone (Moon Township, Pa./Moon Area) was named the Ohio Athletic Conference Women's Golf Player of the Week for the week of Sept. 12-18.
This marks the first career OAC Player of the Week accolade for Firmstone.
She earns the recognition coming off of winning Medalist honors for the first time in her career at the 36-hole Heidelberg Fall Invitational on Friday and Saturday at Mohawk Golf & Country Club.
Firmstone shot a 74-79—153 on the par-72 course to finish first by three strokes in the 60-woman field.
Her first-round 74 matched her career best for 18 holes and ranks fifth all-time at ONU.
Overall, the Polar Bears won the Invitational by 17 strokes, finishing with a 314-315—629 to break the previous 36-hole school record of 639.
The first-round 314 tied the program record for 18 holes.
The Polar Bears (21-1 overall) return to the course on Oct. 10 at the Lourdes Fall Invitational at Sylvania Country Club.
