Freshman Grace Honigford named the OAC Women's Golfer of the Week

ADA — Freshman Grace Honigford (West Chester/Lakota East) was named the Ohio Athletic Conference Women's Golf Player of the Week for the week of April 6-12.

She was Medalist in both of her tournaments this weekend, winning the Heidelberg Invitational and the Otterbein Cardinal Classic.

At Heidelberg, Honigford was first out of 25 golfers with an 82 on the par-72, 5921-yard course.

She was then was first out of 27 golfers with a 119 on Sunday at Otterbein to earn Medalist honors for the fourth time in nine tournaments this season.

This marks the third time this season that an ONU player has received the award.

The Polar Bears will return to action at Otterbein this Saturday and Sunday.
