Annika Neumann wins Medalist honors, leads Women's Golf to victory at Polar Bear Classic

HARROD — Senior Annika Neumann (Valley City/Avon) won Medalist honors to lead the Ohio Northern women's golf team to a victory over Muskingum at the Polar Bear Classic on a chilly Friday at Colonial Golfers Club.
The Polar Bears (19-3 overall) defeated Muskingum 339-398.
Neumann was first out of 23 golfers with a 78 to earn Medalist honors for the second time in seven tournaments this season.
Freshman Grace Honigford (West Chester/Lakota East) was second with an 80, senior Lydia Cranmer (Farmington Hills, Mich./Ladywood) and sophomore Meghan Utterdyke (Lebanon/Fenwick) tied for fourth with 90s and sophomore Karlee Staugler (Saint Henry) was ninth with a 93 for ONU.
Playing as individuals, sophomore Olivia Galigher (Bolivar/Tuscarawas) was third with an 87 and freshman Rylie Smith (Cambridge/Buckeye Trail) also tied for fourth with a 90.
The Polar Bears will return to action next Saturday and Sunday, April 10-11 in two Heidelberg Spring Classic tournaments at Mohawk Country Club in Tiffin.
