Women's Golf opens Spring Break play by posting 5-5 tie with John Carroll in Ryder Cup format match

ORLANDO, Fla. — The Ohio Northern women's golf team opened its spring break schedule with a 5-5 tie against John Carroll in a Ryder Cup-style dual match on Monday at the Orange Lake Resort.
The Polar Bears (22-10-1 overall) and the Blue Streaks played 36 holes of various formats on the day.
Junior Alexis Miller (Wayne/Elmwood) and freshman Jessica Tubbs (Holland/Springfield) went 3-0 in the team competion during the day, accounting for two of ONU's five points.
Senior Taylor Daniel (Columbia City, Ind.), junior Annika Neumann (Velley City/Avon) and sophomore Karolyne Staugler (Saint Henry) all won singles matches to account for Ohio Northern's other three points.
The Polar Bears will return to action on Tuesday with another Ryder Cup-style match against Trine (Ind.) at the Orange Lake Resort.
