Women's Golf holds 16-stroke lead after Day 1 of OAC Fall Preview

WEST LAFAYETTE — The Ohio Northern women's golf team holds a 16-stroke lead after the first round of the Ohio Athletic Conference Fall Preview on Saturday at River Greens Golf Course.
The Polar Bears (9-9 overall) carded a 339 on the par-72 course to lead the 8-team field.
Otterbein is second with a 355, Mount Union is third with a 361 and Capital is fourth with as 363.
Junior Lydia Cranmer (Farmington Hills, Mich./Ladywood) leads the individual standings by two strokes with a first round 81.
Freshman Torrie Smith (Russiaville, Ind./Western) is tied for second out of 53 golfers with an 83, junior Annika Neumann (Valley City/Avon) is eighth with an 85 and freshman Meghan Utterdyke (Franklin/Fenwick) is tied for 11th with a 90.
The final 18 holes will start on Sunday with flighted tee times starting at 10 am.
