Women's Golf finishes 7th of 10 at Bluffton HCAC Preview

BLUFFTON —The Ohio Northern women's golf team finished seventh of 10 teams at the Bluffton HCAC Preview Saturday and Sunday at the Bluffton Golf Course.

The Polar Bears (9-9 overall) finished with a 345-351—696 on the par-72, 5817-yard course.

Rose-Hulman (Ind.) won the team title with a 321-319—640, Transylvania (Ky.) was second with 319-332—651 and Franklin (Ind.) was third at 328-340—668.

Junior Lydia Cranmer (Farmington Hills, Mich./Ladywood) was seventh out of 76 golfers with a 20-over par 80-84—164.

Junior Annika Neumann (Valley City/Avon) tied for 19th with an 85-85—170, freshman Meghan Utterdyke (Franklin/Fenwick) tied for 35th with an 87-93—180 and freshman Jessica Tubbs (Holland/Springfield) tied for 39th with a 93-89—182 for ONU.

Rose-Hulman's Rachel Zhang and Transylvania's Lexie LaMar tied for Medalist honors with 157s.

Ohio Northern will return to action next Saturday-Sunday at the OAC Fall Championships at West Lafayette, Ohio.
