Women's Golf sits 9th of 14 after day one of Wooster Spring Invitational

JEROMESVILLE — The Ohio Northern women's golf team is ninth of 14 teams after day one of the Wooster Spring Invitational on Saturday at Mohican Hills Golf Club.

Sophomore Lydia Cranmer (Farmington Hills, Mich./Ladywood) is tied for seventh out of 95 golfers with an 81. Cranmer sits just three shots off the lead after 18 holes of the 36-hole tournament.

Senior Caitlin Silva (Hilliard/Bradley) is tied for 14th with an 84, junior Taylor Daniel (Columbia City, Ind.) is tied for 54th with a 93, senior Alaina Mikolajewski (Piqua) is tied for 65th with a 97 and sophomore Haley Watkins (Bellefontaine) is tied for 70th with a 99 for Ohio Northern (20-5).

Denison leads the team standings with a 328, Otterbein is second with a 329 and Ohio Wesleyan is third with a 332.

The second and final round is slated for a 10 am shotgun start on Sunday, weather permitting.
