Women's Golf finishes fourth at Otterbein Cardinal Classic

SUNBURY — Junior Suzanne Short (Findlay) carded an 88 to lead the Ohio Northern women's golf team to a fourth place finish at the Otterbein Cardinal Classic on Friday at the NorthStar Golf CLub.

The Polar Bears (17-11 overall) finished with a 365. Capital won the team title with a 350, Otterbein was second with a 354 and Marietta was third with a 363.

Short tied for sixth out of 24 golfers with her 16-over par 88.

Sophomore Taylor Daniel (Columbia City, Ind.) tied for 11th with a 91, senior Raven Venegas (Lima/Shawnee) and freshman Lydia Cranmer (Farmington Hills, Mich./Ladywood) tied for 15th with 93s and junior Caitlin Silva (Hilliard/Bradley) tied for 19th with a 97.

Marietta's Jackie Cunningham won Medalist honors with a 78.

The Polar Bears will return to action April 7-8 at the Ohio Wesleyan Spring Invitational.
