Senior Heather Comer fires career-low 79 in final round to lead Women's Golf at OAC Fall Preview

WEST LAFAYETTE -- Senior Heather Comer (DeGraff/Riverside) fired a career-low 79 in the final round to lead the Ohio Northern women's golf team to a third place finish at the OAC Fall Preview Saturday and Sunday at River Greens Golf Course.

The Polar Bears wrap up their fall schedule with a 13-20 record.

ONU finished with a 357-339--696 for the 36-hole tournament.

Mount Union won the team title with a 350-325--675, Otterbein was second with a 346-343--689 and John Carroll was fourth with a 367-366--733.

Comer tied for third out of 42 golfers with an 89-79--168.

Senior Ariana Tomasula (Rocky River/Lutheran West) was sixth with an 87-83--170 and sophomore Caitlin Silva (Hilliard/Bradley) was 13th with a 91-86--177 for ONU.

The Polar Bears will return to action on their annual Spring Break trip in March.
