Women's Golf shoots low score of the final round, finishes third at 2015 OAC Championships

WEST LAFAYETTE — Sophomore Ariana Tomasula fired a season-low 85 on the final round to lead the women's golf team to a third place finish at the 2015 Ohio Athletic Conference Championships Saturday and Sunday at the River Greens Golf Course.

Tomasula finished in eighth place out of 38 golfers with a 93-85—178.

Sophomore Hannah Whisler was 12th with a 93-89—182, sophomore Heather Comer was 16th with a 98-88—186, sophomore Jennifer Hipskind was 17th with a 92-95—187 and senior Megan Conley was 20th with a 96-93—189.

The Polar Bears (34-36 overall) were third out of eight teams with a 374-355—729.

Northern's final round 355 was the lowest of the day and moved the team up one spot after being in fourth place after the first round.

Otterbein won the team title with Mount Union after both teams finished the 36 holes with 713s. Capital was fourth with a 735 and Baldwin Wallace was fifth with a 756.

Otterbein's Bailey Pontius won Medalist honors with a 169.
