WEST LAFAYETTE — The Ohio Northern women's golf team is in fourth place out of eight teams after the first day of the 2015 Ohio Athletic Conference Championships on Saturday at the River Greens Golf Course.

Sophomore Jennifer Hipskind led the Polar Bears (29-34 overall) with a season-low 92 to tie for 13th place out of 38 golfers.

Sophomores Ariana Tomasula and Hannah Whisler are tied for 16th with 93s, senior Megan Conley is tied for 21st with a 96 and sophomore Heather Comer is 25th with a 98.

The Polar Bears are fourth with a 374.

Otterbein leads the team standings with a 346, Mount Union is second with a 353 and Capital is third with a 370.

The second and final round will get underway Sunday at 11 am.
