Women's Golf squad wraps up Fall season at Wittenberg Pat Clouse Invitational

SPRINGFIELD — The Ohio Northern women's golf team wrapped up its 2011 Fall schedule at the Wittenberg Pat Clouse Invitational Saturday and Sunday at the Windy Knoll Golf Course.

The Polar Bears (15-25) finished 13th out of 16 teams with a 409-440—849 on the Par-71, 5860-yard course.

Senior Emily Gedert led ONU with a 33rd place finish out of 95 golfers with an 82-88—170.

Freshman Megan Conley was 73rd with a 97-98—195, senior Abby Ricket was 92nd with a 106-133—239 and freshman Kaitlyn Nestelwas 93rd with a 124-121—245.

No. 2-ranked Washington (Mo.) won the team title with a 304-306—610, No. 3 DePauw (Ind.) was second with a 316-317—633, No. 26 Wittenberg was third with a 309-333—642 and No. 11 Allegheny (Pa.) was fourth with a 325-321—646.

Washington's Olivia Lugar won Medalist honors with a 5-over par 73-74—147.

The Polar Bears will return to action with their annual Spring Break trip in March.
