Women's Bowling finishes 22nd at two-day Columbia 300 Western Shootout

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. — The Ohio Northern women's bowling team finished 22nd of 23 teams at the Columbia 300 Western Shootout Saturday at Sunday.

The Basics

• Ohio Northern finished 22nd of 23 teams with 7,161 pins.
• Venue: Royal Pin Western Lanes - Indianapolis, Ind.
• Northern downed 4,619 pins in six individual games on Saturday, an average of 154.0 per game.
• On Sunday, ONU knocked down 2,542 pins in 16 baker games, an average of 158.9 per game.

ONU Individuals

• Freshman Kayleigh Zedlitz (Belle Center/Indian Lake) finished Saturday's 6-game series with a 1,185 to lead the Polar Bears.

Notables

• Trine (Ind.) won the team title with 9,312 pins.
• Calumet College of St. Joseph (Ind.) was second with 9036, Rochester (Mich.) was third with 9005 and Northwestern Ohio was fourth with 8924.
• This was the third of 10 events for Ohio Northern in its second season.
• Second-year head coach Jeff Robinson leads the Polar Bears.
