Seckel, Frank lead Women's Bowling on Day 1 of Lehigh Valley Collegiate Classic

WHITEHALL, Pa. — The Ohio Northern women's bowling team closed out Day 1 of the Lehigh Valley Collegiate Classic in 18th place on Monday.
The Basics
- Ohio Northern finished 18th of 18 teams with 3,368 pins on Day 1 of the competition, which consisted of five team games.

The Tournament
- ONU currently trails 17th-place Erie Community College by 230 pins.
- Pikeville leads the event after Day 1 with 4759 pins.
- Individually, freshman Emily Seckel (Marion/Pleasant) led the Polar Bears on Day 1 with 752 pins through five games. She posted a high game of 174 with an average game of 150.4 and is in 52nd place of 130 bowlers.
- Freshman Lizzy Frank (Rayland/Buckeye Local) is in 59th place with 716 pins through five games. She posted a high game of 170 and averaged 143.2.
- Freshmen Jaylynn Brownlee (Powell/Olentangy) and Lexa Steinke (Wapakoneta/New Bremen) are in 72nd and 74th, respectively. Brownlee totaled 672 pins with a high of 203 in five games, and Steinke tallied 617 pins with a high of 133 in five games.
- Freshman Lilly Stewart (Kingston/Zane Trace) totaled 611 pins with a high of 133 in five games and is in 77th position.
