ROCHESTER, N.Y. — The Ohio Northern women's basketball team posted a 80-40 win over Hilbert (N.Y.) on the second day of the St. John Fisher (N.Y.) Tournament on Sunday afternoon.

- Sophomore Courtney Sumner (Ada) led Ohio Northern with 14 points to go with six rebounds.
- Senior Brooke Allen (Woodville/Woodmore) had 12 points and a team-high eight rebounds.
- Fifth-year senior Kristen Luersman (Fort Jennings) added nine points and five rebounds.
- Sophomore Lexee Brewer (Sidney) had five steals and four assists to lead the Polar Bears.
- ONU out-scored HC 22-3 in the first quarter to take a commanding lead early.
- Sumner scored half of her points in the first quarter.
- The Polar Bears led 34-11 at halftime.
- Ohio Northern opened the second half with a 9-0 run in 2:28.
- ONU led 63-20 after three quarters.
- Ohio Northern made 32-of-70 field goals for 45.7 percent and was 9-of-25 from beyond the arc for 36.0 percent while Hilbert was 14-of-42 from the floor for 33.3 percent and finished 6-of-15 on 3-pointers for 40.0 percent.
- The Polar Bears made 7-of-18 free throws for 38.9 percent and the Hawks were 6-of-6 from the line for 100 percent.
