Women's Basketball lands five Academic All-OAC honorees

ADA – The Ohio Northern women's basketball team had five players named Academic All-Ohio Athletic Conference for 2014-15 in voting done by the leagues academic advisors.
Junior Brooke Espenschied, sophomore Angela Tesny, senior Mary Miller, junior Carly Thomas, and senior Jordan Kimes all were honored.
Espenschied is a pharmacy major and earns her second Academic All-OAC accolade.
This season, she played 26 games; making 25 starts averaging 5.3 points per game.
Tesny, a mechanical engineering major, earns her first Academic All-Conference honor.
She started in 25 of the 26 games she played in this season.
Miller earns her second Academic All-OAC accolade.
The criminal justice and political science major appeared in 15 games this season.
Thomas also earns her second Academic All-Conference honor.
The biology and pre-med major averages 9.2 points per game and appeared in 26 contests this season.
Kimes, a international theatre production and studio arts major, earns her third Academic All-OAC selection.
Kimes owns two of the top-10 scoring marks in school history and was named the OAC Co-Player of the year for her efforts during the 2014-15 season.
The Polar Bears went 20-6 overall and won the league with a 16-2 mark under head coach Michele Durand.
