Ohio Northern women's basketball team falls to Ohio Wesleyan 75-73

ADA — Ohio Northern women's basketball team fell to non-conference opponent Ohio Wesleyan Wednesday night 75-73 at the ONU Sports Center.
Ohio Wesleyan improves to 4-4 overall, while Ohio Northern falls to 6-2.
Ohio Northern was led in the contest by freshman Amy Bullimore who recorded her third double double of the season.
Bulllimore had game-highs in points (20) and rebounds (11).
Ohio Northern led the game 38-28 at the break but was unable to hang on.
The Battling Bishops started the second half with a 9-0 run to pull within one.
A made jumper by Bullimore and a pair of free throws from junior Carly Thomas was able to extend the Polar Bears lead once more, 44-40.
Ohio Wesleyan's Kyle Croxton hit a pair of threes just minutes later to give the Bishops their first lead of the contest 50-48.
The Battling Bishops sealed the victory in the final minute as it shot a perfect 6-6 from the free throw line.
The Polar Bears out rebounded Ohio Wesleyan 43-31, but the Battling Bishops were able to force 13 turnovers to its own 10.
Ohio Northern shot just 15.4% from behind the arc, while Ohio Wesleyan was 43.8%.
Senior Jordan Kimes added 19 points and nine rebounds, while sophomore Britt Lauck and junior Brooke Espenschied added nine points a piece.
The Polar Bears are next in action Saturday as they travel to Capital for a 3 pm contest.
