Dysert named OAC Women’s Basketball Player of the Week

ADA — Senior forward Kara Dysert has been selected OAC Player of the Week for Women's Basketball for her efforts Nov. 21-27.

This past week, Dysert helped the Polar Bears pick up three victories to move their overall record to 5-1.

On Tuesday, she posted 19 points and seven rebounds in a come from behind 60-55 victory at Kenyon.

Against St. Mary's (Ind.) on Saturday, Dysert posted her first double-double of the season and 11th of her career by scoring 17 points and grabbing 12 boards to help the Polar Bears win 68-64.

She then scored 10 points and had eight rebounds in Northern's 64-42 win over Ohio Wesleyan on Sunday.

Dysert is currently second on the team averaging 13.3 ppg and is first grabbing 8.0 rpg.

Ohio Northern will be in action again on Saturday when they open up Ohio Athletic Conference play at 3 p.m. against Muskingum.
