Junior Ryan Massie named OAC Men’s Cross Country Runner of the Week

ADA — Ohio Northern junior Ryan Massie (Beavercreek) was named the Ohio Athletic Conference Men's Cross Country Runner of the Week for the week of Oct. 9-15.

This marks Massie's first career OAC Runner of the Week accolade.

The recognition comes after he led ONU across the finish line at the SUNY Geneseo Mike Woods Invitational on Saturday with a career-best time of 24:25. His previous best time was 25:27.

Massie placed 28th overall in the 376-man field at the meet, which featured six nationally ranked teams.

The Polar Bears placed ninth in the 25-team field.

Massie has been ONU's top finisher in three of five meets this season.

The Polar Bears (55-10 overall) have completed their regular season schedule and will return to action on Saturday, Oct. 28, when they host the OAC Championships at Hillcrest Golf Club in Findlay.
