Men's Cross Country receives votes in Week 4 USTFCCCA National Coaches' Poll

ADA — The Ohio Northern men's cross country team received votes in the Week 4 USTFCCCA NCAA Division III National Coaches' Poll, which was released on Wednesday.
The Polar Bears received 7 points in the poll and dropped from their No. 26 ranking a week ago when they received 102 points. Northern is listed as the second team in the "Also receiving votes" category, which equates to a No. 37 ranking.
ONU is ranked No. 4 in the Great Lakes Region this week behind Mount Union, Calvin (Mich.) and Hope (Mich.).
Northern is coming off winning the team title at the Ohio Wesleyan Invitational on Friday, marking its third straight first-place finish. Junior Trey Masterson (Tiffin/Hopewell Loudon) won the individual title, finishing first of 200 runners with a personal-best time of 25:26.
North Central (Ill.) is the top team in this week's national poll, earning 350 points and all 10 first-place votes.
Pomona-Pitzer (Calif.), Wisconsin-La Crosse, Wisconsin-Whitewater and Williams (Mass.) round out the top five.
The Polar Bears (39-2 overall) have the week off and will return to action on Saturday, Oct. 14, at the SUNY Geneseo Mike Woods Invitational at 11 a.m.
