No. 26 Men's Cross Country wins third straight meet, Trey Masterson wins top individual honors at Ohio Wesleyan Invitational

POWELL — Junior Trey Masterson (Tiffin/Hopewell Loudon) crossed the finish line first of 200 runners to lead the No. 26 Ohio Northern men's cross country team Friday evening at the Ohio Wesleyan Invitational. Masterson was one of three ONU runners to finish inside the top 10 as the Polar Bears won their third straight team title.

- This marked the third straight first-place finish for ONU, as the Polar Bears placed first at the NCAC Preview Meet on Sept. 9 and the All-Ohio Intercollegiate Challenge on Sept. 15.
- This marks the first time in program history that the Polar Bears have placed first in three consecutive meets.
- This marks the first time since 2017 that the Polar Bears have won three meets in a season.
- Masterson's time marked a career best, as his previous best was 25:32.
