Men's Cross Country wins team title at NCAC Preview Meet

GRANVILLE — The Ohio Northern men's cross country team won the NCAC Preview Meet on Saturday morning, as three Polar Bears placed inside the top 10 in the 172-man field.
The Basics
- Record: Ohio Northern (13-2)
- Race Info: The event was an 8K race held at Infirmary Mound Park in Granville.
- ONU placed 1st of 11 teams with 56 points.

- The Polar Bears finished 10 points better than second-place Otterbein with 66 points.
- Oberlin (128 points), DePauw (Ind.) (132 points) and Denison (137 points) rounded out the top five teams.

- The Polar Bears had five runners finish in the top 20.
- Junior Ryan Massie (Beavercreek) led ONU across the finish line, placing 6th overall in 28:19.90.
- Sophomore Jacob Clouse (Alvada/New Riegel) was 7th in 28:24.90.
- Senior Jared Swartz (Columbia Station/Columbia) was 10th in 28:30.80.
- Junior Trey Masterson (Tiffin/Hopewell Loudon) was 13th in 28:36.60
- Senior Ian Ackenhausen (Canton/Central Catholic) was 20th in 29:02.40.
Notables
- Conor Kolka of Wittenberg won the individual title in 27:37.50.
