Men’s, Women’s Cross Country teams to open 2023 season Sept. 1 at Beaver Dam Invite

ADA — The Ohio Northern men's and women's cross country teams will open their 2023 seasons on Sept. 1 at Bluffton's Beaver Dam Invite under 15th-year head coach Jason Maus.

The Polar Bears will compete in three other events in September.

The NCAC Preview is Sept. 9 at Denison, the All-Ohio Cross Country Challenge is Sept. 15 at Cedarville, and the Ohio Wesleyan Invitational is Sept. 29.

Northern will then travel to New York to compete in the SUNY Geneseo Mike Woods Invitational on Oct. 14 to end the regular season.

The Polar Bears will host the Ohio Athletic Conference Championships at Hillcrest Golf Club in Findlay on Oct. 28.

The NCAA Division III Great Lakes Regional Championships are scheduled for Nov. 11 at Silver Creek Metro Park in Akron, and the National Championships will be run at Big Spring High School in Newville, Pa., on Nov. 18.

In 2022, Northern's men finished 111-37 overall and were fifth in the OAC, while ONU's women finished second in the OAC and were 119-23 overall.
