Men's Cross Country: Ohio Northern (25-5 Overall) at Louisville Classic

ONU Race Notes: The Ohio Northern men's cross country team — which is ranked No. 10 in the Great Lakes Region — will compete in its fourth meet of the season Saturday … The Polar Bears travel to Tom Sawyer Park in Louisville, Ky., to race in the Louisville Classic … The men are slated to run at 12 p.m. while the women will compete at 12:45 p.m. … The field includes 133 different teams from all divisions … The Polar Bears have won two of their first three meets this season and are fresh off a sixth-place finish at the All-Ohio Championships last weekend … In that race, junior Jordan Green paced the squad, placing 33rd overall with a time of 27:32 … Junior Travis Sutter crossed 41st with a time of 27:46, and freshman Billy Driemeyer finished 44th, clocking in at 27:52 … Junior Alessandro Tramontano and sophomore Patrick Baker rounded out ONU's top-five, logging times of 28:01 and 28:06, respectively … Northern last competed in the Louisville Classic in 2003 where it placed 16th in a field of 32 teams.
Head Coach Jason Maus: Maus is in his 11th season as head coach of the men's cross-country team … He has coached four men's cross country teams to Ohio Athletic Conference titles, including a string of three consecutive crowns from 2015-17 … Maus currently stands as the all-time winningest coach in Ohio Northern school history for both men's and women's cross country.
