OSHKOSH, Wis. — The Ohio Northern men's cross country team finished 12th of 38 teams at the Wisconsin-Oshkosh Brooks Invitational Saturday afternoon.

The Polar Bears (72-23 overall) finished with 393 points in a field that featured nine ranked teams.

No. 6 Calvin (Mich.) won the event with 52 points. No. 1 North Central (Ill.) finished in second with 58 points. No. 25 UW-Eau Claire, No. 3 Washington (Mo.) and No. 15 Wisconsin-Stevens Point finished third, fourth and fifth respectively.

Junior Mark Berton led the way for ONU finishing in 57th place out of 500 runners in a time of 26:04.86.

Sophomore Nathan Rosenbaum navigated the 8,000 meter course in 26:13.43 which was good for a 72nd place finish.

Senior Michael Simmons posted a time of 26:26.90 which was good for a 93rd place finish.

Junior Evan McKee posted a time of 26:35.65, while junior Tyler Feitshans had a time of 26:49.97.

Senior Kenton Holliday finished with a time of 27:01.30 and freshman Eric Wymer had a time of 27:18.22.

Ohio Northern will be in action again on October 27, when they travel to Wilmington for the OAC Championships at 11 am.
