Steinbrunner, ONU Cross Country coaching staff honored by OAC

ADA — The Ohio Athletic Conference cross country coaches named junior Alison Steinbrunner the Female Runner of the Year, as well as recognized ONU coaches as the Women's Staff of the Year.
Additionally, the coaching staff has been named Co-Coaching Staff of the Year for Men's Cross Country, along with John Carroll.
This is the second straight season that Steinbrunner has earned the Runner of the Year honor, as well as the second consecutive year the staff has been recognized as the Women's Coaching Staff of the Year.
Steinbrunner took the individual title for the third straight season at the OAC Championship, and followed up with the individual title at the NCAA Division III Great Lakes Regional Championships.
Head coach Jason Maus, along with assistants Casey Gantt and Justin Linzy, led the women's team to its second consecutive OAC championship, as well as its second straight appearance at the NCAA regional race. The Polar Bears finished 19th overall at the NCAA National Championships.
On the men's side, the staff has led the Polar Bears to an OAC Championship title and an appearance at the NCAA regionals. Northern finished its season with its 13th consecutive winning season with a 103-33 record.
In three seasons, Maus is 274-63 as head of the men's program and 286-73 as leader of the women's program.
