Schlatter, Boothby named All-Academic Athletes; Ohio Northern men's team named USTFCCCA All-Academic Team

ADA — Ohio Northern junior Ross Schlatter (Curtice/Genoa) and freshman C.J. Boothby (Milford/Clermont Northeastern) were named All-Academic Athletes for 2024 by the United States Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association.
The Ohio Northern men's track and field team was also named an All-Academic Team for 2024 by the USTFCCCA.
To be eligible for All-Academic Athlete honors, each student-athlete must have a GPA of at least 3.30 and must have posted an individual top 50 mark in the nation, competed on a top-35 relay team nationally or competed at the NCAA III Championships.
The Polar Bears finished the 2024 season with a 3.22 GPA. To be eligible for All-Academic Team status, the squad must have a team GPA of 3.10 or better.
Schlatter is an NCAA III Championships qualifier outdoors as part of ONU's 4x400 relay team that finished 16th at the national meet.
He was part of ONU's Ohio Athletic Conference champion and All-Great Lakes Region 4x400 relay team and is a two-time All-OAC honoree.
A mechanical engineering major, Schlatter is now a 2-time All-Great Lakes Region honoree, a 2-time OAC Champion and a 4-time All-Conference honoree.
Boothby is the school record holder in the 60-meter dash indoors and as part of the 4x100 relay team outdoors.
