Senior Keegan Digby named OAC Men's Field Athlete of the Week

ADA — Ohio Northern senior All-American Keegan Digby (Bowling Green/Otsego) was named the Ohio Athletic Conference Men's Field Athlete of the Week for the week of Feb. 5-11.

The recognition comes after Digby broke his own school record while placing fifth in the shot put with a throw of 17.27 meters at the Grand Valley State (Mich.) Big Meet at the Kelly Sports Center in Allendale, Mich. on Friday night. He also placed 22nd in the weight throw with a toss of 15.25 meters.

This is the second time he has received the honor this season and 10th time in his career.

Digby is a two-time OAC champion in the indoor shot put and is a three-time All-American in the event. He is currently ranked first in the OAC and fifth nationally this winter.

The Polar Bears return to action on Saturday at the Wittenberg Invitational at 11 am.
