Saturday's Meet: The Ohio Northern men's track and field team will continue its 2021 outdoor season on Saturday when they host the 5-team Mike Becraft Invitational at Kerscher Stadium ... Field events will start at 11 am and running events at 12:15 pm ... Mount Union, Otterbein, Marietta and Capital are expected to join ONU at the meet ... The top 6 places will score points in the team standings (10-8-6-4-2-1) ... The Polar Bears are coming off a fourth place finish at the 10-team OAC Elite Meet last Saturday at Otterbein ... Juniors Andrew Buderer and Patrick Baker and freshman Trey Myers all had second place finishes ... Buderer was second in the pole vault clearing clearing 4.66 meters, Baker was second in the 10,000 in 31:49.43 and Myers was second in the 800 in 1:55.33 ... On the national level, the NCAA accounced field sizes of 17 individuals and 14 relay teams for the 2021 NCAA Championships May 27-29 at Greensboro, N.C. ... Junior Nate Dean currently ranks 9th in the 200 with a season-best time of :21.63 ... Eight more Polar Bears are within striking range of qualifying in other events ... In the 800, freshman Trey Myers is 31st (1:54.76) ... Senior Sam Krabacher is 26th in the 1500 (3:55.63) ... Junior Patrick Baker is 25th in the 10,000 (31:49.43) ... Senior Owen Lloyd is 23rd in the 110 hurdles (:14.94) ... Senior Colin McCullough is 30th in the 400 hurdles (:55.39) ... Senior Travis Sutter is 36th in the 3,000 steeplechase (9:41.43) ... Junior Andrew Buderer is 17th in the pole vault (4.55m) and junior Luke Shellhaas is 29th in the pole vault (4.55m) ... Freshman Keegan Digby is 34th in the shot put (14.89m) ... Senior Alex Sube is 38th in the hammer throw (51.22m).
