Junior Nate Dean wins three events, leads Men's Outdoor Track and Field to victory at the Otterbein April Fools Invitational

WESTERVILLE — Junior Nate Dean (Euclid/Villa Angela-Saint Joseph) won three events to lead the Ohio Northern men's outdoor track and field team at the Otterbein April Fools Invitational on Saturday at Memorial Stadium.
The Polar Bears (10-3 overall) won with 168 points.
Dean swept the 100 and 200-meter dashes, winning in :10.96 and :22.02, respectively.
He also joined with sophomore Brandon Berry (Wickliffe), senior Jaymar Hines (Cincinnati/Marian) and sophomore Vini Souza (Spencerville) to win the 4x100-meter relay in :43.17.
Senior Jack Lehr (York, Pa./Dallastown) won the discus with a toss of 43.42 meters and freshman Trey Myers (Dayton/Chaminade-Julienne) won the 800 in 1:57.43.
Senior Owen Lloyd (Colfax, Ind./Clinton Prairie) was second in the 110 hurdles in :15.93, senior Colin McCullough (Galion) was second in the 400 hurdles in :55.39 and junior Luke Shellhaas (Greenville/Versailles) was second in the pole vault by clearing 4.35 meters.
Souza also finished second in the 100 in :11.35.
Otterbein finished second with 129 points, Wilmington was third with 125, Heidelberg was fourth with 72 and Capital was fifth with 57.
The Polar Bears will return home next Saturday when they host a meet at Kerscher Stadium.
