Nathan Rosenbaum leads Men's Indoor Track & Field on first day of 2015 OAC Championships

BEXLEY — Senior Nathan Rosenbaum led the Ohio Northern men's indoor track and field team on the first day of the 2015 OAC Championships meet on Friday at the Capital Center.
The Polar Bears (37-4 overall) are tied for third out of 10 teams after five of 19 events.
No. 2-ranked Mount Union leads the team standings with 53 points, John Carroll is second with 29 points and Otterbein is tied with ONU for third with 23 points.
Rosenbaum earned All-Conference accolades with a second place finish in the 3,000-meter run in 8:47.63.
The distance medley relay team of sophomores Andrew Harden and Ian McKee, freshman Matt Molinaro and senior Kyle Wagner also earned All-OAC accolades with a third place finish in 10:23.05.
The top three finishers in each event earn All-Conference honors.
Sophomore Lucas Shumate and junior Brandon Ike also scored points with top-8 finishes.
Shumate was fifth in the weight throw with a heave of 16.10 meters (52' 10") and Ike was eighth in the pole vault by clearing 4.37 meters (14' 4").
The second and final day of the championships will be on Saturday with field events beginning at 10 am and running events beginning at 2 pm.
