Men's Indoor Track & Field finishes 3rd of 19 teams at the Capital Classic

BEXLEY --The Ohio Northern men's indoor track & field team finished third of 19 teams at the Capital Classic on Saturday afternoon at the Capital Center.
Wilmington finished in first with 97 points, Capital was second with 95.5 points and the Polar Bears were third with 87 points.
Sophomore James Rader brought home a second place finish in the 500 run in 1:08.21.
Sophomore Ryan Brancheau was second in the high jump, clearing 1.93 meters.
Sophomore Jonathan Roseler finished third in the 400 dash in 52.31 and freshman Eric Wymer was also third in the 1-mile run finishing in 2:40.29.
Freshman Devon Jones was second in the long jump with a leap of 6.49 meters, while junior Josh Colbert was third leaping 6.45 meters.
The Polar Bears had two top five finishers in the pole vault.
Freshman Steven Gohrband was third clearing 4.11 meters and freshman Brandon Ike was fourth with a vault of 3.96 meters.
Junior Francisque Pierre-Jerome brought home a fourth place finish in the 60 dash, posting a time of 7.11 seconds.
Sophomore Phil Farwig was fourth in the shot put and weight throw with throws of 14.02 meters and 14.47 meters respectively.
Ohio Northern will be in action again on Friday and Saturday when it hosts the OAC Indoor Track & Field Championships at the ONU Sports Center.
