Sophomore Tyler Wood named OAC Men's Tennis Player of the Week

ADA – Ohio Northern sophomore Tyler Wood (Toledo/St. John's) was named the Ohio Athletic Conference Men's Tennis Player of the Week for the week of March 24-30.

The recognition comes after winning 6-7(7), 6-4, 10-5 at No. 2 singles on Saturday when they dropped a 5-2 decision to DePauw (Ind.).

Wood leads the team this season with a 15-5 singles record and has a team-best 24-17 overall record. He is also tied for the team lead with 9 doubles wins this season. In his career, he has a 66-30 overall record.

This is his second time receiving the honor in his career.

The Polar Bears (6-6 overall) return to action on Wednesday against Cedarville at the Westwood Tennis Center in Lima at 1:30 p.m.
