Men's Tennis falls 4-3 to Roger Williams (R.I.) on Day 3 of spring break trip

ORLANDO, Fla. — The Ohio Northern men's tennis team continued its spring break trip with a 4-3 loss to Roger Williams (R.I.) at the Fort Gatlin Tennis Center in Orlando on Tuesday.

Individual Highlights
- RWU won two of the doubles courts to take the doubles point, then won three of the six singles courts to record the victory.
- Junior T.J. Schultz (Grand Blanc, Mich.) and freshman Noah Boyce (Oakwood) won 7-5 at No. 2 doubles.
- Sophomore Tyler Wood (Toledo/St. John's) won 6-3, 6-2 at No. 3 singles.
- sophomore Kessler Hackenberger (Tipp City/Tippecanoe) won 6-0, 6-x at No. 5 singles.
- Senior Sam Sran (Punjab, India/St. Stephens and Gian Jyoti Global) won 6-1, xx at No. 6 singles.
- The Hawks won the No. 1, 2 and 4 singles courts.
Notables
- RWU leads the series between the two schools 1-0.
- The NCAA had adopted a 7-point team scoring system for Division III, where the three doubles contests only count for one team point as is used in NCAA Divisions I and II.
- Wood and Boyce lead the team with 12 singles wins.
- Boyce and Schultz each have 8 doubles wins.
- Boyce has a team-best a 20-15 overall record.
- Wood is right behind with a 19-16 overall record.
- Senior Peyton Specht (Munster, Ind.) is 112-75 overall in his career, which includes a 52-40 singles mark and a 59-35 doubles record.
- Third-year head coach Sean Swisher is 37-18 at the helm of the ONU men's tennis team, a winning percentage of .673.
