Men's Tennis opens home schedule against Kalamazoo (Mich.) indoors at Westwood Tennis Center

LIMA — The Ohio Northern men's tennis team opened the home portion of its schedule on Friday afternoon with a 7-0 loss to Kalamazoo (Mich.) indoors at the Westwood Tennis Center.

- Sophomore Kessler Hackenberger (Tipp City/Tippecanoe) took his opponent to a third set tiebreaker at No. 5 singles before falling 4-6, 6-2, 4-10.
Notables
- Kalamazoo won the doubles point by taking two of the three doubles matches, then won all of the six singles courts to record the victory.
- The NCAA had adopted a 7-point team scoring system for Division III, where the three doubles contests only count for one team point as is used in NCAA Divisions I and II.
- Third-year head coach Sean Swisher is 35-15 at the helm of the ONU men's tennis team, a winning percentage of .700.
