Men's Tennis falls to Oberlin in tight 5-4 contest

ADA — The Ohio Northern men's tennis team dropped a tight 5-4 non-conference decision to Oberlin on a beautiful sunny Sunday afternoon outdoors at the West Campus Courts.
The Basics

The Match
- Northern won two of the three doubles courts, but the Yeomen grabbed four of the six singles courts to rally for the win.
- Junior Peyton Specht (Munster, Ind.) and freshman Tyler Wood (Toldeo/St. John's Jesuit) won 8-2 at No. 2 doubles and freshman Kessler Hackenberger (Tipp City/Tippecanoe) and Junior Drew Swisher (Findlay) won 8-3 at No. 3 doubles to give ONU a 2-0 lead.
- Wood made it 3-1 Polar Bears with a 6-0, 6-1 win at No. 6 singles.
- OC tied the match at 3-3 with wins at No. 4 and No. 2 singles.
- Hackenberger gave ONU a 4-3 lead with a 6-2, 1-6, 6-3 win at No. 5 singles.
- But the Yeomen would win 7-5, 6-3 at No. 1 singles and 0-6, 6-2, 6-3 at No. 3 singles to clinch the match.
