Men's Tennis improves to 4-1 on season with home victories over Franciscan, Ohio Wesleyan

ADA — The Ohio Northern men's tennis team improved to 4-1 on the season with victories over Franciscan and Ohio Wesleyan on Saturday afternoon at the Wst Campus Courts.
The Polar Bears (4-1 overall) began the day with a 9-0 win over Franciscan (0-2) and ended the day with an 8-1 win over Ohio Wesleyan (0-3).
Senior Zach Beaschler (Ada) and freshman Peyton Specht (Munster, Ind.) each went 4-0 on the day to lead ONU.
Beaschler was 2-0 in singles, winning at No. 2 and No. 3, and went 2-0 in doubles with freshman Drew Swisher (Findlay) at No. 3.
Specht won at No. 3 and 4 singles and was 2-0 at No. 2 doubles with senior Andrew Cochran (Wooster).
Cochran and Swisher each went 3-0 for Ohio Northern.
The Polar Bears will wrap up their fall schedule Oct. 1-3 at the ITA Regionals at Kalamazoo, Mich.
