Seven Men's Tennis student/athletes named Scholar All-America by ITA

ADA — Seven members of the Ohio Northern men's tennis team were named Scholar Athletes for 2021 by the International Tennis Association.
Senior Joji Imatomi (Yokohama, Japan/Kamakura Gakuen), juniors Zach Beaschler (Ada), Andrew Cochran (Wooster) and David Guindi (Cairo, Egypt/College De La Sainte Famille), sophomore Matt Garcia (Downers Grove, Ill/South) and freshmen Tyler Christoff (Elida), and Isaac Spar (Ada) all received the honor.
To be eligible for the award, a student-athlete must have a GPA of at least 3.50 on a 4.00 scale.
Ohio Northern also earned the ITA Scholar All-America Team Award with a team GPA of 3.39.
The Polar Bears finished their season with a 4-3 overall record and were third in the OAC with a 4-2 mark under fifth-year head coach Mike Bonnell.
