Men's Tennis improves to 3-2 on the season with 8-1 victory at Transylvania (Ky.)

NICHOLASVILLE, Ky. — Ohio Northern swept the three doubles courts and won five of six courts in singles play to post an 8-1 victory at Transylvania (ky.) on Sunday afternoon indoors at the Top Seed Tennis Club.
Junior Vinh Thai (Galloway/Saint Charles) was one of four Polar Bears (5-2) to post 2-0 records on Sunday, winning 6-4, 6-4 at No. 1 singles and joining freshman Matt Garcia (Downers Grove, Ill./South) to win 8-6 at No. 1 doubles.
Junior Hoang Do (Powell/Olentangy Liberty), sophomore Zach Beaschler (Ada) and sophomore Andrew Cochran (Wooster) also went 2-0 on the day.
Do won 7-5, 6-2 at No. 3 singles and Cochran won 6-0, 6-0 at No. 5 singles. The pair combined to win 8-1 at No. 3 doubles.
Beaschler won 6-0, 6-0 at No. 4 singles and joined sophomore Noah Elliott (Hilliard/Davidson) to win 8-2 at No. 2 doubles.
The Pioneers fall to 0-4 with the loss.
The Polar Bears will return to action the first week of March with their annual spring break trip to Hilton head, S.C.
