Vinh Thai goes undefeated, leads Men's Tennis to split with Wittenberg, LaGrange

NICHOLASVILLE, Ky. — Junior Vinh Thai (Galloway/Saint Charles) posted a 4-0 record to lead the Ohio Northern men's tennis team to a split on Saturday indoors at the Top Seed Tennis Club.
The Polar Bears (2-2 overall) began the day with a tight 5-4 loss to Wittenberg Saturday morning, but bounced back with a 7-2 win over LaGrange (Ga.) on Saturday afternoon.
Thai was 2-0 at No. 1 singles and joined with freshman Matt Garcia (Downers Grove, Ill./South) to go 2-0 at No. 1 doubles.
Sophomore Noah Elliott (Hilliard/Davidson) went 3-1 on the day, going 2-0 at No. 3 singles and 1-1 at No. 2 doubles with sophomore Zach Beaschler (Ada).
The Polar Bears will return to action On Sunday at 1 pm against host Transylvania (Ky.) at the Top Seed courts.
