Men's Tennis rallies for 5-4 victory over Wittenberg on Senior Day at OAC Tennis Fest

COLUMBUS — The Ohio Northern men's tennis team rallied for a 5-4 victory over Wittenberg on Sunday at the OAC Tennis Fest at the Lindner Family Tennis Courts.
The Polar Bears clinch a winning season and improve to 12-7 overall and the Tigers fall to 1-10.
Ohio Northern also celebrated Senior Day and honored its lone senior, Cody Hurley (Centerville), in a post-match ceremony.
Northern rallied from a 2-1 deficit after WU took two of the three doubles matches.
Sophomore Connor Christian (Gallipolis/Gallia Academy) and junior Jake Abbott (Kenton) won 8-1 at No. 3 doubles for ONU.
Hurley then won 6-2, 6-2 at No. 5 singles and Abbott won 6-4, 6-0 at No. 6 singles to get ONU within 4-3 as the Tigers won at Nos. 1 and 3 singles.
Freshman Hoang Do (Powell/Olentangy Liberty) won 7-5, 5-7, 6-3 at No. 2 singles to tie the match at 4-4 and junior Tim Kargl (Downers Grove, Ill./South) won 4-6, 6-4, 6-1 at No. 4 singles to give ONU the victory.
Northern will wrap up the Ohio Athletic Conference regular season portion of its schedule on Monday with a match at Otterbein.
